    Minnesota's Omstead Plan supports freedom of choice and opportunity for people with disabilities.  Come to this public forum and provide feedback on the draft plan for Minnesota.
  • Saturday, June 22 - Minnetonka

    Giggle. Play. Connect. Free community play events start up again at Groveland Elementary School. Check out these inclusive play events for all kids to connect and have a genuine sense of belonging. RSVP by June 19.

  • The Arc summer picnic features free rides on the carousel, Dilly bars donated by Dairy Queen and much more.  Bring donations for Arc's Value Village too - we'll have a blue truck on site.  Registration closed.

    MN Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MNCCD) is hosting a legislative wrap-up event to review the session and celebrate successes.  RSVP by June 21.

    District 42 residents are invited to an Open House with Sen. Bev Scalze and Reps. Barb Yarusso and Jason Isaacson at the state capitol.

    Dan & Liz Froehlich invite you to a legislative home visit at their home with elected officials from Senate District 61 and Hennepin County District 3.  Tell your story and offer your perspective on issues such as transportation, special education, Consumer Directed Community Supports, county case management services, Medical Assistance and more.

    Partners in Policymaking® is a leadership training program for adults with disabilities and  parents of young children with developmental disabilities. The program teaches leadership skills, and the process of developing positive partnerships with elected officials and other individuals who make the policy decisions about services that you and your family use. Partners in Policymaking is seeking recruits now for Class 31. Apply by July 15.

Grants available for persons with Autism

  • The Autism Society of Minnesota is accepting applications through July 1 for Steps of  Hope Support Grants. Previous grants have been awarded for technology, specific therapies, sensory items, etc. Learn more!

Sibling Survey

Participants sought for a University of Connecticut online survey that looks at empowerment, thoughts and beliefs, and mood among adult siblings of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
